Kempty Falls

About 17km from central Mussoorie, roughly 40 minutes by road. Getting to the falls themselves is free — there's no entry ticket — but the ropeway down (roughly ₹150-250 round trip), lockers, changing rooms, and floating tubes are all separate, small paid extras if you want them. It's the single most popular stop in the area, and it shows — expect real crowds through late morning and afternoon, especially on weekends. An early start or a weekday visit is a genuinely quieter, different experience; otherwise go in expecting the classic, busy, splashing-in-the-pool version, cable car and all.
